Habitat for Humanity Golden Empire

Habitat for Humanity, motivated by God’s love, unites people to construct homes, foster communities, and cultivate hope. We believe that everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to live, and invite all who share this belief to join us, regardless of race, religion, age, or political views. Habitat is open to volunteers, supporters, and future homeowners from all backgrounds. Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliates have a firm policy against proselytizing. We provide assistance without requiring adherence to, conversion to, or even listening to religious messaging. Building homes is a joint effort between volunteers and homeowners, who contribute 500 hours of “sweat equity” toward the construction of their home and others’. Habitat homes are sold at cost with a non-interest mortgage, repaid over 30 to 45 years. These payments are then used to build more homes for those in need.
