Carol's Kitchen - Cabazon Community Center

Carol's Kitchen offers healthy, hot meals four days a week in Riverside County. We're here to serve those in need with respect and kindness. That's why we make sure we use only the best ingredients and prepare our meals fresh every morning. All of our meals include: We've got protein, veggies, salads, juice, coffee, and dessert. We also serve peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or cold cut sandwiches with a snack for the kids. Thanks to our generous sponsors, we can also give our guests bags of fresh produce so they can continue to nourish themselves even after leaving our kitchen. We couldn't do it without our amazing volunteers! Thanks to them, we're able to provide hot meals and clothing to over a thousand people in need each week. We'd love to have you on our team! We're looking for volunteers to help support our kitchen and serve our neighbors in need. We're looking for volunteers to work in our kitchens, as well as cooks, kitchen managers, and people willing to work behind the scenes to support our many projects. Our kitchen volunteers usually show up between 8:00 and 8:30 to help get meals ready and serve them up, then clean up afterwards. They usually leave by 1:30 p.m. Our behind-the-scenes volunteers can volunteer at their convenience to do things like make phone calls, write letters, organize events, and so on.
