Our mission is to inspire and enable all young individuals, particularly those most in need, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. We offer: A secure place for learning and development Ongoing relationships with caring adult mentors Programs that enhance life and foster character development Hope and opportunity We are always open to new faces to help us shape the future of our communities. Regular volunteering, especially mentoring a child, is a great way to contribute. Volunteer Opportunities: General Volunteer – Working in our Club Houses and Teen Centers with youth on a weekly basis. We are always looking for tutors, homework helpers, games room attendants and sport enthusiasts who can help to enrich the programs we run. Foster Grandparent Program – Through an ongoing partnership with Passages retired individuals may even qualify for a regular meal and a small stipend through regular volunteer duty. College Student Internships and Volunteering – Through Chico State and Butte College a variety of internship opportunities are available that meet department requirements and credit eligibility. Skill Based Volunteers – People with the skills, knowledge and abilities to support Club operations. These volunteers may support by being a board member, coach, referee, musical instructor, foreign language tutor, dance teacher, and yoga instructor etc. Youth Volunteers – We have various teenage volunteer positions through our Teen Center programs such as Leaders in Training (LIT), Counselors in Training (CIT), senior projects and community service assignments.
