Valleydale Park

This very popular park is a hub of activities for adults and children alike. The children’s playground can often be found full of children, and the basketball court is just as popular with teens and adults. The park has plenty of space for children to run around and it also has amenities for adults such as a walking pad and fitness zone. Volunteer With Us! The Department of Parks and Recreation has many different volunteer programs and opportunities for your participation. Many of our community parks have volunteer opportunities in areas such as athletic programs, after school programs, tiny tot programs and general park operations. Our Regional Park Facilities have more specialized volunteer programs that range from docents at our nature centers and botanic gardens, mounted assistance units for our equestrian trails, and guides for our many school tours. They will be able to provide you with information, answering questions you may have and discuss the application process for becoming a volunteer.
