We're here to build and sustain one-on-one mentoring relationships that empower youth to achieve their greatest potential. At Big Brothers Big Sisters, we truly believe that "small moments can lead to big joy" in a child's life! Research shows that mentoring has a really positive impact on kids' lives. Our Littles are 52% less likely to skip school, 46% less likely to start using illegal drugs, and are more likely to form strong connections with their families and friends. There's nothing more rewarding or enjoyable than becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister! Just a few hours a few times a month is all it takes to make a BIG difference in a child's life! We're so excited to tell you how it works! Depending on the program, you may meet your Little in the community, connect over Zoom, or through one of our site-based programs. Our Littles come from all kinds of backgrounds, and they're as unique as can be! Some are as young as six, while others are teenagers. No matter where they live, they all have one thing in common: they need you! As a Big Brother or Big Sister, you'll get to be a part of their lives in a really special way. All you have to do is complete an application, provide three references, attend an in-person interview, and go through a background check (for adult volunteers).
