We promote and protect public safety and animal care through. Thank you for your interest in our volunteer program! Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age at the beginning of service. Volunteers under 18 will need parental permission. Volunteers are representatives of the County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care & Control. There are guidelines that must be followed in order to maintain the standards of the care center and to provide you with an enjoyable and fulfilling volunteer experience.
