Habitat for Humanity Greater Fresno Area

Driven by the mission to reflect God’s love, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. We welcome everyone who believes in the right to a decent, affordable home, regardless of their race, religion, gender, age, or political beliefs. Habitat embraces volunteers, supporters, and future homeowners from all walks of life. Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliates do not engage in proselytizing. We offer assistance unconditionally, without expecting adherence to, conversion to, or even exposure to religious messaging. Construction is a collaborative effort between volunteers and homebuyers, with families contributing 500 hours of “sweat equity” toward building their home and those of others. Habitat homes are sold at cost, with a non-interest mortgage, repaid over 30 to 45 years. The payments are then used to build additional homes for those in need.
