Food Pantry
We are servants who provide care and assistance to those in need and act as advocates for systemic change.
Food items are purchased and donated by approximately 25 area restaurants, markets and Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. Food is picked up by volunteer drivers 6 mornings a week. The food is repackaged and distributed by volunteers to those in need. SOS distributes an average of 275 bags of groceries a day. Bags are filled with fresh produce, meats, dairy products, breads and assorted canned goods.
At Share Our Selves, we have a wonderful corps of volunteers, who generously give their time to serve our community. They are a warm welcome at our front desk, caring hands making food bags, and compassionate in their service to others. Volunteers are an integral part of our service delivery since 1970. Because of the dedication and commitment of our volunteers, we are able to provide high quality programs and services.
