Literacy Tutor for Individuals with Down Syndrome

GiGi’s Playhouse One-on-One Tutoring Programs are free to our participants, staffed by volunteers, and take place at GiGi’s Playhouse in Simi Valley. As a tutor in our one-on-one programs, you hold a key role in the student's learning! Tutors must be 16 years old or older. Time Commitment: 45-60 minute lesson per week for 15 weeks based on the student levels and interests. Tutors will work with the Literacy Coordinator Team for training and use approved GiGi's Playhouse materials. Tutors will be asked to choose an age group to work with. The grade level choices are; Preschool Learners (ages 3 - 5) Elementary School Age Learners Middle School Age Learners High School Age learners Adult Learners (ages 18+) Tutoring schedule will depend on tutor and student availability.
