Providing educational opportunities and technical expertise in the areas of horticulture, conservation, and ecology - examples of landscape styles and plants adapted to California's Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters - habitat for wildlife, and beautiful gardens for the enjoyment of all. The Gardens offer educational programs in gardening, ecology, and other environmentally sensitive subjects for children and adults, membership benefits, and volunteer opportunities. The Gardens at Heather Farm is an independent nonprofit organization operating a free public garden, education center and special event venue on six picturesque acres in Walnut Creek, CA.
