Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County - ReStore South County

notIndicated
Due Date: 2025-10-02T21:00:00.000Z
Driven by a mission to express God’s love in action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, create communities, and inspire hope. Our commitment is to eradicate substandard housing both locally and globally by constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes; advocating for fair and just housing policies; and providing resources and training to help families improve their living conditions. We welcome everyone who believes in the right to a decent, affordable home to join our mission, regardless of race, religion, gender, age, political beliefs, or any other differences. Habitat invites volunteers, supporters, and future homeowners from diverse backgrounds. Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliates strictly prohibit proselytizing. Assistance is offered without any expectations of faith adherence, conversion, or exposure to religious messaging. Home construction is a collaborative effort between volunteers and homebuyers, with partner families contributing 500 hours of “sweat equity” towards the building of their own homes and those of others. Habitat homes are sold at cost, with a non-interest mortgage, repaid over 30 to 45 years. These payments are recycled to build additional homes for those in need.
