Habitat for Humanity Coachella Valley, Inc.

Guided by the mission to express God’s love through action, Habitat for Humanity brings together communities to create homes and foster hope. We welcome everyone who believes in the right to a decent, affordable place to live, regardless of race, religion, gender, age, or political affiliation. Habitat is open to volunteers, supporters, and future homeowners from all backgrounds. Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliates do not engage in proselytizing. Our assistance is offered unconditionally, with no requirement to adhere to, convert to, or even listen to religious messaging. The construction process is a partnership between volunteers and homebuyers, with families contributing 500 hours of “sweat equity” toward building their own homes and those of others. Habitat homes are sold at cost with a no-interest mortgage, repayable over 30 to 45 years. Payments are recycled to help build additional homes for those in need.
