Pets for the elderly

We help with the cost of adoption of a companion animal by a seniors. The Pets for the Elderly Foundation (PFE) is a 501 (c)(3) public charity. PFE's goal is to expand the program to provide the services we offer through shelters to include reduced cost adoption, address food shortage and retention issues, all for people age 60 and over. We expect to facilitate services to more than 5,000 older adults with companion animals. The pandemic has illustrated the importance of bridging the isolation gap in older adults, and we believe companion animals ease that issue. We are seeking to expand our number of participating shelters, especially to those states who do not currently have any shelter in our program.
