Every day, our team works to save the lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Mission: Stray Cat Alliance educates and empowers communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy and valued. You can also contact our Volunteer Program Manager at volunteers@straycatalliance.org with any questions. Volunteer Opportunities Foster – Provide a temporary home for a rescued cat or kitten. You can see the cats waiting for a foster on our new Trello board! Cat Care – Help feed, clean, and socialize our very special kitties at our shelter. NEW!! Shelter Intervention – Engage with community members at the city shelter in South LA who find cats and kittens and are able to foster them at home. NEW!! RTH Support – Canvas neighborhoods with door hangers around RTH release sites and help us release cats back to their homes in the Garden Grove area. Adoptions – Help facilitate adoptions by interviewing applicants and matching them with kittens and cats. This opportunity is virtual! Cat Transporter – Transport cats to veterinary visits and from the shelter to our facility. Fundraising and Special Events – Help plan and staff special fundraising events. Administration – Help with phone calls, data entry, and mailings. Thrift Store – Receive donations and sort and place items. Ask us about the perks! Social Media – If you are a Twitch Specialist, Youtube Guru, or LinkedIn Luminary, we need your insight! Outreach Booths – Help educate the public about community cats and responsible pet ownership. (currently on hold) Feed a Cat Colony – Help monitor, feed, and maintain a colony of community cats. Trap Depots – Operate and show others how to use traps for humane trap, neuter, return (TNR). Cat Trapper – Help put an end to cat overpopulation by trapping, fixing, and returning cats back to their homes. Hotline – Assist the public with Trap/Neuter/Return information.
