HSSF's trained humane officers enforce California's anti-cruelty laws. Volunteer So many animals benefit from one person selflessly giving their time. There is so much need with the Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills the duties change when the need changes. We welcome anyone (18 and older) who is interested in making a difference and would like to volunteer their time.
