To empower lives, promote healthy eating and eliminate food insecurity. Porchlight provides a dignified experience for those seeking to change their circumstances and have access to nutritious food. As a "Choice pantry", their distribution events are set up like a grocery store. Clients come in and choose their food products while accompanied by a volunteer. Volunteers help with unloading, sorting, organizing food items on tables, shelves, and refrigerators and freezers, cleaning, sanitizing, and making it comforting and appealing for those that will be coming to "select" their items later in the day.
