Strides In Recovery
We bring the healing power of exercise to addiction recovery communities. Imagine how good it feels to go from rock bottom to crossing the finish line of your first 5K, 10K or half marathon with your brothers and sisters in sobriety. Imagine that joy of shared accomplishment, of proving that you're stronger than you thought, of realizing that you can do whatever you put your mind to. That's the experience we create!
Use your passion for exercise and your friendly personality to support people on their journey to long-term sobriety. As a Strides in Recovery assistant coach / mentor, you will walk, jog or run with small groups of the newly sober who are receiving treatment at an addiction recovery program. You do NOT need to be a serious runner. You do need to be capable of walking/jogging several miles while being a good listener and engaging in supportive conversation.
